The unnamed couple – a 30-year-old man and his wife, aged 28, who worked for a gun shop in Burapha area – were nabbed at an apartment in Soi Charansanidwong 35 on Thursday. A search of their room yielded 2,775 bullets of various sizes, Pol Maj General Surachet Hakpan, the 191 patrol and special operation division's chief, said on Friday. They said they did this for a month to cover their son's medical bills. Police applied for a search warrant for the couple's room following the previous arrest of drug and gun suspect Wayuth Thamya in Sai Mai district of July 14, which uncovered a courier box from his ammunition supplier. Police traced the motorcycle taxi that delivered the boxes to the apartment, which they then staked-out for two days until they could secure the search warrant.
