Waipoj Ponglakkham, 52, and his wife Modsom Kaewmanee, 26, were arrested late on Thursday night at a remote spot on Phang Khone-Bueng Kan Road, Ban Nong Chan village in the district of Sri Wilai. Police checked the package and found 2,919 methamphetamine pills so they chased after the SUV and arrested the couple. Th y claimed they had been hired by a Lao woman, identified only as Noi, to deliver the drugs to a customer. Police arranged for them to call Noi again and ask for more drugs. Inside this second package police found 23,999 meth pills and five kilograms of crystal meth.
