Couple arrested for forcing children to beg for nine yearsPolice display a school uniform worn by children forced to beg as Ms Pimwimon, one of the suspects, looks on at a house in Muang district of Nakhon Pathom province on Thursday. They face multiple charges, including human trafficking for the purpose of forced begging, coercion of minors into inappropriate behaviour and exploitation of children. To elicit sympathy from the public, the children were made to wear school uniforms while begging. The children were required to keep detailed records of donations, including photographing transfer slips as proof. The rescued children have been placed under protection with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
