[Courtesy]Baringo County government's finance Chief Officer Jane Barus has been charged with breaking into a house in Rongai, Nakuru County, and stealing household goods. Barus, who was arrested on June 24 by officers from Menengai Police Station, appeared before court on Tuesday and denied the charges. She was charged that on June 16 this year, at Ravine Junction in Rongai sub-county within Nakuru County, she allegedly broke into the house of Nixon Kibiwott Chumo and stole beddings and assorted items. Nakuru Principal Magistrate Faith Munyi released her on a Sh50,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh30, 000.
