By ROGER AMSDEN, LACONIA DAILY SUNLACONIA — The union representing Belknap County corrections officers has filed an unfair labor practice complaint against the Belknap County Commissioners. The complaint, filed with the Public Employees Labor Relations Board, alleges that Belknap County Commission Chairman Dave DeVoy (R-Sanbornton) told members of the Belknap County Delegation on Dec. 13 last year that the commission was making a “take it or leave it” offer to the union in negotiations over employee contributions to health care costs. DeVoy is alleged to have answered a question from the delegation on the status of negotiations with the Belknap County Corrections Officers Union by saying, “We’re going to tell them this is what it is, either take it or leave it. The union asks that the PELRB order the commissioners to enter into good-faith negotiations with the union and to cooperate in mediation and fact-finding if necessary. The PELRB received the complaint on Jan. 26 and has asked that all filings relating to the complaint be completed by Feb. 12.
