The Beatrice City Council held a public hearing and approved a resolution modifying a plan for a redevelopment area near 25th and Scott street during Monday's meeting. Councilmen discussed parking in the area. In other business, the council discussed and passed resolutions in relation to the four elementary school properties street signage, parking and crosswalks. The city will take ownership of the elementary sites 90 days after Beatrice Public Schools vacates the buildings as a part of the agreement with the city. The next regular meeting of the Beatrice City Council will be Aug. 5 in the Beatrice Public Schools Administration Board Room.
