Personally, I agree with Brady on the limited effectiveness of virtual events. Trade shows gather current and prospective clients in one place where they can be introduced to current and new solutions and resolve concerns. The level of interaction and attention is often not the same when attending a virtual event during the workday. The way I see it, virtual events render the marathon of networking moot because the pandemic demands that you meet clients virtually anyway. Invest in relationships by flying top customers, media or potential partners to you — or hold your own virtual events.
