As business leaders and HR professionals, how we respond in times of crisis has a significant impact on our businesses. As a result, I’ve been sharing a lot of the lessons I learned from those crises with other leaders and HR professionals. One point I’ve been stressing lately is that we need to really understand the long-term impacts of our decisions on our culture and employer brand. When the economy tanks, layoffs, pay cuts and benefit cuts are all bound to happen. As leaders and HR professionals, we have an interesting opportunity on our hands.
