Sellers who only use the Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) approach discovered how quickly circumstances could change. FBA enables sellers to ship products to an Amazon warehouse, which then ships items out to customers in exchange for a commission on each sale. Fulfillment By Merchant (FBM) enables Amazon sellers to remain in control of the entire shipping and handling process. Several advantages develop when you have FBM as a backup plan, starting with the fact that you don’t need to abandon the FBA approach. Third-party fulfillment (3PL) enables a small business to gain the advantages of FBM without taking on all of the shipping and handling responsibilities.
