Cotu said it would not withdraw the case until the temporary NSSF Board of Trustees was confirmed. NSSF Board Chairman Gideon Ndambuki differed with Cotu Deputy Secretary-General Benson Okwaro during the opening of a meeting of the two boards at Whitesands Beach Hotel in Mombasa on Monday. Mr Ndambuki had pleaded with Cotu to withdraw the case, saying it had prevented the implementation of the NSSF Act. Employers and workers pay a flat rate of Sh200 per month each. Mr Okwaro said Cotu is not willing to withdraw the case until the board was officially confirmed and transparency enhanced at the NSSF.
