Locals and workers said the fire broke out at 6:30am on Saturday morning, just after they arrived there to start working, reports UNB. Mamunur Rashid, deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service, said two firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours of frantic efforts. The fire might have originated from an electric short-circuit, he added. No casualties were reported.
