COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Authorities arrested Thursday a large-scale narcotics trafficker in the act of selling P1 million worth of shabu to a government agent in disguise. RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, outlawed possession of narcotics and other regulated substances. Kendatu fell Friday night in an entrapment at the intersection of the Quezon Avenue and Don Rufino Alonzo Street in Barangay Poblacion 5 here. Azurin said the operation that resulted in Kendatu’s arrest was assisted by the Cotabato City police, the Army’s 5thSpecial Forces Battalion and barangay officials where he distributed shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in large quantities. Azurin said they will prosecute Kendatu using the shabu seized from him, valued at P1 million, as evidence.
