Corteva, formerly Dow AgroSciences, is considering closing its manufacturing operation at its New Plymouth Plant. International agrichemical company Corteva is considering ending its manufacturing operations in New Plymouth – a move that would affect 35 jobs. Robert Kaan, Corteva’s managing director for Australia/New Zealand, Japan and Korea, said there were significant benefits in moving the New Plymouth manufacturing operations. Simon O'Connor/Stuff Corteva Agriscience is looking at closing its manufacturing site at Paritutu. Between 1962 and 1987, the site was used by Ivon Watkins, later Ivon Watkins Dow, which mademost of the 2,4,5-T used in New Zealand at the Paritutu site.
