According to the court's order, the three-member independent committee will be led by the Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. “The bench also directed the committee to submit the probe report before the court within one month,” said Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon. Earlier on August 31, a writ was filed with the High Court seeking its order upon concerned government offices to conduct judicial investigations against a journalist for his alleged involvement in corruption. The unnamed journalist, a senior reporter at Jamuna Television, was accused of corruption in purchasing books to establish Bangabandhu Corner at all government primary schools.
