Patna, July 13: An IAS officer posted in Kaimur district was tonight arrested in a corruption case. A senior vigilance bureau official said Gupta is the second IAS officer in recent memory after S.S. Verma - an irrigation department secretary who was held during Nitish Kumar's first term as chief minister - to be booked on corruption charges. Five other officials of his office were quizzed by the bureau officials. The bureau officials detained the SDO, his driver and the homeguard jawan after the seizure of documents and cash. At Gupta's residence, the raid team found documents of several commercial vehicles, besides the cash driver Tiwary had.
