Dad-of-two Mohammed Malik was paid for handing confidential information to Mohammed Anis, a court heard. They became friends when Malik, 37, visited Anis to pay his respects after members of his family died in a road accident in Saudi Arabia. Then over 12 months from February 2017, Malik passed data from police computers to Anis. Malik of Rochdale, Gtr Manchester, admitted three counts of conspiracy to commit misconduct in public office and was jailed for 28 months.
