Corrections officer accused of bringing drugs into the jail

(FACEBOOK PHOTO)OSSIPEE — A former Carroll County corrections officer has been indicted on a felony charge that she brought drugs into the jail. The Carroll County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Carroll County Department of Corrections, investigated former Corrections Officer Zina Ryan, 28, of Wakefield for bringing contraband into the secured area of the Carroll County House of Corrections in Ossipee, according to a statement from Sheriff Domenic Richardi and County Corrections Superintendent Jason Henry. Henry, in an email to the Sun, said that Ryan had begun working for the county in 2014 and was a "good officer" with no issues. "In this case, the officer broke our policies, and the supervisors did a good job of finding and seizing the contraband," said Henry. Carroll County Attorney Michaela Andruzzi released the following statement: "The Carroll County Attorney's Office reviews all cases presented to us by law enforcement in order to ensure that defendants are held accountable for their behavior.
