Corrections has finished its internal review into the circumstances leading to the fatal assault of Manawatū Prison inmate Bradley King in February. Prison officials have completed their review into the assault of an inmate who subsequently died of his injuries, but won’t yet be publicly releasing the findings. The Department of Corrections has finished an “operational review” into the circumstances leading to the assault of Bradley King in Manawatū Prison on February 11 by his cell-mate. King died almost a fortnight later in Wellington Hospital and police have launched a homicide investigation. Corrections has told Stuff that, when appropriate, information from the review will be shared with King’s family.
