Siva Saravananmore-inTo improve the quality of roads in the city, the Coimbatore Corporation has sent a proposal to the State Government. The Corporation officials said that they sent the proposal for ₹41 crore to take re-laying of roads measuring 62.41 km across the five zones. With the money, the Corporation would take up 15.18 km road in the East Zone, 29 km roads in the West Zone, 8.33 km roads in the North Zone, 6.78 km road in the South Zone and 3.13 km road in the Central Zone. The Corporation sent the proposal under the Tamil Nadu Road Improvement Project and expected the funds to be sanctioned shortly.
