A coroner has highlighted concerns over the care given to a young woman with severe obsessive compulsive disorder who killed herself while on leave from a mental health hospital. In a statement released through the charity INQUEST they said: “Sasha had so much to live for and she tried so desperately hard to get well. We feel that this inquest has shown the flaws and inconsistencies in the system that let her down. She was detained under the Mental Health Act and became a patient at Farnham Road hospital in Guildford, Surrey, a specialist mental health facility run by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS foundation trust.
