Eton will teach five-to-13-year-olds whose parents are nurses, cleaners, porters, police and work in other critical services free of chargeEton College is opening its doors to hundreds of children of key workers and the most vulnerable pupils from Monday. The £42,000-a-year school has decided to stay open throughout the crisis, including the Easter and summer holidays if necessary, to teach children aged 5-13 whose parents are nurses, cleaners, porters, police and work in other critical services. The children from Maidenhead, Slough and Windsor will be able to use the pool and tennis courts. Their timetables will include drama, art, chess and film studies, although not the traditional wall game because it involves “too much close contact”, according to Simon Henderson, the headmaster. The kitchens, usually used for 1,300 Eton pupils, will provide the children with meals and prepare food
