This is the first of its kind to have taken place at the Ghana Armed Force El Wak Level 2 COVID-19 Isolation and treatment Centre. A member of the medical team revealed that the operation was successful adding that there was no increased risk to the patient in regards to the procedure so far. In an interview with Joynews, Obstetrician Gynaecologist, Lt Col. Agyare-Gyan said, “There is no increased risk to the patient with respect to the procedure but there are some unknowns. “Baby is actually very well, came out breathing, kicking and screaming so he doesn’t need anything special,” remarked Lt. Col Agyare-Gyan.
