On Friday, 58 out of the total 64 districts reported coronavirus cases. Bangladesh is closing in on the grim 5,000 mark as its tally of Covid-19 patients on Saturday surged to 4,992, with another 309 people were diagnosed with the deadly disease anew. Moreover, the country also confirmed deaths of nine more Covid-19 patients in a 24-hour span, taking the country's death toll to 140. As many as 836,978 people have also recovered from Covid-19, a disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus, which has spread to 210 countries and territories across the globe.
