Map of Tangail district Dhaka TribuneHijackers used food laced with sedativesA man–unconscious on the street from early morning to night on Saturday–left unattended by passersby as they did not dare to go near them, for fear of coronavirus transmission in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail. According to locals and police sources, nobody came to take him to the hospital as he lied motionless at Pushtokumari Charpara area in Mirzapur upazila for hours. Gorai Highway outpost police Sub-Inspector Motiar Rahman said: “Some hijackers fed him foods laced with sedatives and took all his belongings. He was looking all right so we gave him some money so he can return to home. He might have been died from harmful effects of sedatives due to lack of treatment,” added SI Motiar.
