Figures from Public Health England show that Burley has the highest infection rate - nearly doubling in just seven days. Knowsley and Liverpool each saw alarming increases between August 20 and Saturday - the latest data available. Of the 20 worst affected hotspots just two - Bolton and Blackburn with Darwen - have seen a fall in new cases in the past week. Boris Johnson will give a coronavirus press conference tomorrow, flanked by the Government's top scientists.
