According to the Health Ministry of the country on Tuesday 115 Bangladeshi nationals, some 46.94%, were infected from a total of 245 Covid-19 positive cases in the island nation. 94 Maldivian citizens are infected at the same time, sharing 38.37% of the total infected in the country. Alarmingly, 29 Bangladeshi expatriates tested positive for Covid-19 on April 25 - which is the highest in a single day. The first positive case of a Bangladeshi migrant was reported on April 17 in Maldives. The Maldives has been seeing a steady rise in the curve since April 16, when there were merely 28 reported cases.
