Coronavirus antibodies from blood plasma donations start to fade three months after symptoms start

Coronavirus antibodies in blood plasma donations fade rapidly after symptoms first appear, a new study suggests. Researchers followed a small group of recovered COVID-19 patients who donated their blood and found all of them showed decreases in antibodies after three months. Study author Dr Renée Bazin of Héma-Québec says this research is among the first show that recovered COVID-19 patients can go from seropositive to seronegative. 'Based on our findings, antibodies against the new coronavirus are not eternal.'
