The number of people who have died in hospitals of Covid-19 has increased in the biggest Monday increase since June, as Boris Johnson prepares to unveil his latest lockdown plans. England reported 36 new deaths in its hospitals, Wales had four and Northern Ireland recorded three, with no new deaths in Scotland. The grim figure is the highest increase on a Monday since 62 deaths were confirmed on June 8. The announcement came after it was reported that the Army will be drafted to Liverpool to help the city in its coronavirus efforts. At 3.30pm today the Prime Minister will address MPs in the House of Commons, before delivering an televised update to the people.
