There are two new Covid-19 cases today, all in managed isolation, the Ministry of Health confirmed on Saturday afternoon. One of the new cases had visited a hospital's emergency department via ambulance for a separate medical issue, before returning to managed isolation. There are now 16 active cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand, with all in managed isolation or quarantine facilities. So saying, the protocols in place at managed isolation facilities are based on the assumption that people may have Covid-19 until they complete their isolation period.”The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is now 1172, which is the number reported to the World Health Organisation.
