Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury seeks Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s intervention on the rising number of Covid-19 casesShyama Haque Chowdhury, wife of Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury, has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). Her and her security guard’s test results came back negative at the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Tuesday. Mayor Ariful confirmed the matter and has expressed deep concern over the rising number of covid-19 cases across the country. He sought Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s intervention in this regard. On May 27, former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation and Awami League's central committee member Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran and his wife Asma Kamran were also tested positive for Covid-19
