Small businesses across Auckland are continuing to let customers shop in-store, in breach of region-wide coronavirus lockdown rules. Auckland has been at Covid-19 alert level 3 since community transmission of the virus was confirmed in the city last week. Under level 3 rules, non-essential businesses can operate delivery or click and collect services but shoppers can’t physically browse for goods. However, social media posts show dozens of small businesses across the city are still letting customers inside.
