Coronavirus: Priest Richard Oduor arrested, detained 4 days

Police officers arrested Fr Oduor at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) in Nairobi County on Thursday, after he was discharged following his recovery. CHARGESNairobi Police Commander Philip Ndolo said the Rome-based priest will face charges similar to those against Kilifi Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi – knowingly spreading the deadly Covid-19 disease. “Having healed, and since it is believed he spread the disease [knowingly], the law must take its course," Mr Ndolo said. The priest was traced days later after members of the public raised concerns.
