One additional death and 408 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC). It takes the number of deaths to 4,919 and the number of cases to 252,303 respectively. Of the 408 new cases, 77 per cent are under the age 45 and the median age is 31. Ms O’Beirne said the walk-in centres shows that they need static sites in these areas. She expects Covid-19 testing to continue for the rest of the year at least.
