Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern responds to calls for the New Zealand border to be opened. All active cases have recently returned from overseas and are in managed isolation facilities. Ardern said there were currently 4858 people in managed isolation facilities across the country – the total capacity available is 6103. Managed isolation contactsThe ministry has progressed its contact with the people who left managed isolation facilities between June 9 and June 16. Of the 2159 people who left managed isolation facilities during this period, 1284 people have been contacted and have tested negative for Covid-19; 800 of those were tested before leaving managed isolation, and the remaining 484 were tested after leaving the facility.
