A rapid response group of soldiers has been isolated from the rest of the NZ Army as the military prepares to support the lockdown​. The NZ Defence Force (NZDF) has also set age and medical requirements for all personnel deploying to support the Government response to the coronavirus pandemic. An NZDF spokeswoman confirmed a company had been isolated. "A standard high-readiness group has been isolated in Linton Military Camp to ensure we have the ability to meet directed outputs within directed response times. A NZDF spokeswoman said there was currently no need to draw on reserve forces.
