A rapid response group of soldiers has been isolated from the rest of the NZ Army as the military prepares to support the lockdown. The NZ Defence Force (NZDF) has also set age and medical requirements for all personnel deploying to support the Government response to the coronavirus pandemic. An NZDF spokeswoman confirmed a company had been isolated. "A standard high-readiness group has been isolated in Linton Military Camp to ensure we have the ability to meet directed outputs within directed response times. A NZDF spokeswoman said there was currently no need to draw on reserve forces.
