The state minister said: “The decision to turn launches into isolation centres will be crucial if the spread of coronavirus reaches the coastal areas where proper treatment for Covid-19 patients is not yet available. Khalid said the government will keep aiding the shipping workers until the coronavirus crisis is averted. The authorities are also thinking about turning idle coaches of Bangladesh Railway into quarantine and isolation centres to treat Covid-19 patients, as train services have been suspended from March 24. Earlier, the Ministry of Youth and Sports announced that all the stadiums of the country would be temporarily turned into hospitals for coronavirus affected patients.
