Kiwi performer Mike Twist juggled closed borders and foreign embassies en route back to New Zealand during Covid-19. Mike Twist, a self-taught professional juggler, was finally living out his dream and performing six nights a week under Cirque du Soleil's big top at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. But as the coronavirus pandemic swept the globe and closed national borders in its wake, Cirque du Soleil brought down the tent and laid off 95 per cent of its performers.
