THE country’s top civil servant has urged TDs to heed public health advice to stay at home ahead of a controversial sitting of the Dáil this week. It comes ahead of a controversial sitting of the Dáil tomorrow that is already being boycotted by the Labour Party. I am heeding the public health advice and working from home. Labour said it will boycott the three-hour sitting for statements on Health and Social Protection and will submit written statements. This will allow all 160 TDs to attend the sitting and vote for a new Taoiseach while remaining in compliance with social distancing rules.
