Coronavirus Ireland: Top civil servant warns TDs over public health advice ahead of controversial Dáil sitting

THE country’s top civil servant has urged TDs to heed public health advice to stay at home ahead of a controversial sitting of the Dáil this week. It comes ahead of a controversial sitting of the Dáil tomorrow that is already being boycotted by the Labour Party. I am heeding the public health advice and working from home. Labour said it will boycott the three-hour sitting for statements on Health and Social Protection and will submit written statements. This will allow all 160 TDs to attend the sitting and vote for a new Taoiseach while remaining in compliance with social distancing rules.
