The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Ireland stands at 24,112. Taoiseach Leo Varadkar confirmed it is "safe to proceed" with the first phase of reopening Ireland's society and economy from the coronavirus restrictions. The Health Protection Surveillance Centre was also informed today of 64 new confirmed cases of Covid-19. There is now a total of 24,112 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.
