On April 23, the Ministry of Public Administration issued an order to reopen the offices and operate in a limited capacity during the general holidays, until May 5, to battle the coronavirus situation in the country. “In order to follow the government’s instruction, any other ministry can reopen its offices if required,’ he added. Earlier on April 23, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a circular extending the general holidays till May 5Many of the ministries had made rosters till May 5 to resume their offices, which now needs to be postponed. Additional Secretary Dulal Krishna Saha of the public administration ministry said the previous order was issued “mistakenly due to a coordination gap” among officials.
