Many Muslims in the country do not agree with the government’s direction to limit mosque gatherings. They have also discussed and given guidelines on how to stay safe from coronavirus to the people during the “Khutba” of Jummah prayers. IF also requested Muslims to do wudu or ablution and offer Sunnah prayers at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus. It urged the Muslims to come to the mosque to perform the obligatory (farz) prayers only. IF said that Jummah prayers should be performed in this manner until further instructions are given.
