The worldwide deaths from the pandemic rose by 3,191 on Sunday, bringing total fatalities since the outbreak came to light in December last year to 373,899, according to Worldometer. The number of daily deaths fell by almost 21.9% on Sunday compared to Saturday. This marks a fall of 893 compared to the previous day (Saturday), which saw 4,084 deaths. A week ago, on May 24, the number of new deaths worldwide stood at 2,824 and a week before that on May 17, it was 3,618.
