According to worldometer, a total of 97,128 new coronavirus cases across the world were recorded on Friday, taking the total number of Covid-19 cases to 4,012,857. A week ago, on May 1, the number of new cases worldwide was 94,550 and a week before that on April 24, it was 101,884. Till now, the number of active cases stands at 2,351,455. Of the active cases, 2,302,756 (98%) were identified to be in mild condition while the rest 48,699 (2%) have been marked as serious or critical. Till now, coronavirus or Covid-19 has affected 212 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
