One of Glendalough’s main car parks and its food vendors were closed to the public yesterday because of concerns that people were not abiding by social distancing guidelines amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The HSE has requested that the public remain at least two metres, or six feet, apart to halt the spread of the coronavirus. Ireland’s parks and public spaces have been extremely busy in recent days after the closure of schools, bars and restaurants but concerns have been raised that people are not following health guidelines. Photos shared on social media over the weekend showed people mingling in Glendalough, the Co Wicklow beauty spot, and eating food in large crowds.
