The President indicated that the ban on football activities in Ghana will remain in force until at least 31st July, 2020. He added that non-contact sports events such as golf, tennis, athletics, badminton, table tennis, triathlon and cricket may, however, resume. Football enthusiasts hoping to gather in various stadia will have to wait longer still. Ahead of the president's address, rigorous consultations between Ghana Football Association and Ghana’s COVID-19 Task Force had taken place.
