There have been 77 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the district as of WednesdayFor the first time in Sylhet, five young men, including an intern doctor, who were previously diagnosed with the coronavirus have made full recovery. The youths were greeted with flowers while being released from the Coronavirus Isolation Centre at Sylhet Shahid Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital on Wednesday, said Brig Gen Dr Younusur Rahman, superintendent of the hospital. After being discharged, the intern doctor said he was admitted to the hospital with mild symptoms on April 23. Dr Sushanto Kumar Mahapatro, resident medical officer of the hospital, said the five were released as they had no fever and tested Covid-19 negative twice following their treatment. Another 14 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at the isolation centre and none of them are in critical condition, he said.
