Dr Md Rehnewaz, spokesperson of Jessore Civil Surgeon’s Office confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Friday. At that time, he was greeted with flowers by Jessore Civil Surgeon Sheikh Abu Shahin. According to the district civil surgeon’s office, a total of 73 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the district as of Friday. Of them, 13 are doctors, four are nurses, and 18 are healthcare workers, who account for nearly 50% of total infected in the district. Of the total infected, 20 patients are undergoing treatment at institutional isolation and 50 other patients are kept in home-isolation.
