At a White House news conference, he said the organisation had "failed in its basic duty and it must be held accountable". But he says the US will continue to engage with the organisation in pursuit of what he calls meaningful reforms. In another bizarre press conference, Trump also blamed the shortage of supplies on the previous administration. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide has hit almost two million according to a tally from Johns Hopkins University.
