DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr M Akhtaruzzaman told Dhaka Tribune on Saturday evening that the decision will be made in the greater interest of the country. In another development, Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) has decided to recommend the university authorities "shutdown the university temporarily or announce summer vacation early after rescheduling," and placed a memorandum to that effect with the vice-chancellor. Echoing the student body representatives, Dhaka University Teachers’ Association, and the Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association issued statements concerning the coronavirus outbreak.
