Mahmud Hasan Ripon, former president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) central committee, is one of them, who has started distributing relief to vulnerable families in Gaibandha. On Saturday, 1,000 families of ward no 9 in Kamalerpara union of Saghata upazila were provided with relief goods under the initiative. The distribution programme will continue until Eid-ul-Fitr. Present for the distribution ceremony were district Awami League unit vice president Anwarul Islam, and Saghata Upazila Awami League unit general secretary Shamsul Arefin Titu.
